In this chapter we will explain about the different aspects of e-Learning. Because there is a lot of noise about the exact meaning of e-Learning, we will explain the different elements. It is very important that you (and your organization) will develop a clear definition of the term e-Learning.

Blended learning

If you want to create a powerful learning experience it is very important to create an inspiring and diverse environment. Therefore it is important to look at e-Learning as a mixed solution: a combination of the most appropriate learning didactical formats, services and media formats.

So you can combine a web based trainig with e.g. workshops where learners have to learn the practical skills and at the same moment they can exchange ideas within a digital community and learners can publish the learning outcome in the portfolio.

This mixed solution (pick all the didactical and technical elements and bring them together in a rich and effective learning environment) is called a BLENDED SOLUTION.
