It is funny how much we keep talking about the use of e-Learning instead of just doing and experiencing it. We keep coming up with the disadvantages. Other people inside and outside our organizations are keep coming up with the disadvantages.
e-Learning is no Miracle Oil!
e-Learning is no miracle oil. You cannot fix all your educational, financial or organizational problems by introducing e-Learning.
e-Learning is no religion. It is important to have a clear and honest idea about it. To know both the advantages and the disadvantages. As you have a clear understanding of the characteristics, you will be able to judge the value and implications for your learners and learning processes.
Think about the Gartner Hype-cycle. Let's look at some (dis)advantages, with an open mind. Keep your head clear!
